Khao Lak Recovery

Photobucket

The Andaman Sea and resort area of Khao Lak in southern Thailand was devastated by the tsunami that killed 225,000 around the ocean - today, after amazing efforts, it is a sparkling pearl of a place welcoming visitors with is renowed frendliness and deep pleasure at rebuilding its communities
Dispite the past, it is a peaceful retreat, tranquil and yet with many attractions to experience. It is just an hour Phuket airport, inexpensive, safe and free from the pressuresof busier resort.
Many people come for the world-class diving and cheap dive schools
Khao Lak lies in the middle of two fabulous dive locations, the Similan and Surin national marine parks; families, especially, like the five sleepy beaches that just stretch on; and others like it asafriendly place, full of charm, where they can chill out away from the deep winter freezes of their own lands.
